Clip Library The Clip Library is a floating palette containing text strings that may be inserted into your document after the current insertion point, merely by clicking once on the desired text. Menu commands from the Edit menu allow you to add items to the Clip Library. To add, delete or edit current items in the Clip Library, go to the Libraries Preferences section of the Preferences card. The Edit menu (on the menubar) contains: Cut to Clip Library Deletes the selected text after placing a copy of it in the Text Library. Copy to Clip Library Places a copy of the selected text in the Text Library. Edit Clip Library… Displays the Preferences card, opening the Libraries Preferences section. Each line in the Clip Library becomes a clickable item. To enter a return character in the Clip Library without creating a new item, type the string “\r”. Clip Library Custom HTML Elements This feature allows for a very simple method of creating custom HTML tags. Any clip library item containing three items (separated by commas) becomes a custom HTML tag. The first item is ignored and is intended as the item label. The second item is the element opening tag, the third item the element closing tag (this is the same format used in the Physical and Semantic Style tables). For example, if the line in the clip library is Centered Paragraph,

,

then clicking on this item in the Clip Library would add this to a text selection:
